Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Mk1 Sagging Front Drivers Door -Anyone seen this before?

I have a Mk1 which has a sagging front drivers door

    Has anyone else seen this?

How can I lift the door back up again so it is in line with the rear door at the top and close the gap at the bottom of the drivers door and the rear door?

    Hope this makes sense

    Thanks

undo the hinge bolts a bit at the front of the door and adjust it, pretty much a gues, check and improve kinda thing cos obviously the door needs to be open to tighten up the bolts but it needs to be closed to line it up if ya get my drift
