Mk1 Front apron needs straightening - where can I go in Brisbane?

Hi All

I have to get my front apron straightened on my Mk1. It was pushed in on the front LHS and was not repaired that well

Any ideas of people who know what they are doing with Mk1's in Brisbane?

I think Dom might have gotten one for his cabby from VW not too long ago.

Might be worth asking a dealership if they've still got the panel, the MK1 cabrios were around for years after the MK1s.

Before you look at getting one from OS.

How about ringing a local VW dealer & seeing how much they are! I reckon you may be surprised.

I'm sure VW may still stock both the lower valance & also the complete Rad support under the Cabby versions!

i paid $150 for mine, called up VW and they had it in stock, it was the lower apron skin where the lil spoiler attaches to

It might be worth mentioning to the next dealer that Mk1 cabrio's were produced until early 90's, and that they have the same part...that might change the no to a yes

Got a complete front panel of Tooleys a good few years ago also, could try them.

I only get stuff from UK cause I can get it cheaper from there to here than bringing it across australia.

Call or e mail Richard at the above website and ask. If it s rediculous I have a complete aftermarket front panel I can sell you, I will then order a replacement to come next container.
