Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • GTechniq C1 Crystal Lacquer - Who's used it?

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering who has used C1 Crystal Lacquer from GTechniq. Found some good info on other detailing sites but interested to hear if anyone our side of the world has tried it.

The Ventureshield Film installer is offering to do it combined with the film when I drop the new car off.

It does need to be reapplied after 2-3 years but the cost is pretty low compared to the Minger paint protection deal from the stealers in terms of what you get at least.

Food for thought? oh and yes i did do the search.

Some links for what I found very interested in what you guys think.

    Cheers,
    emu

Its hard to get as G1 is for professional application only. It works on the same principle as Nanolex. its a bond on the molecular level, this is what gets the durability.

Some more info is here Nano? | Nanolex

out of interest how much is he charging? Pm if you would like but i would be interested to know.
