Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

because the car is black, and the chip is tiny but deep and is white, it stick out like you know what....

    Thank you

For a quick fix, (that will only last a few washes) try a permanent marker pen, like the Staedtler range. It will hide the mark/chip until you get it fixed.

With black you are in a better spot than blue or red as the marker pen matches the colour a bit better.

Dealers sell touch up paint with a little brush, a panel shop could help or the stone chip repair guys can come to you...all down to what you want to pay. You should see change out of a $50.

If you want to go the permanent marker route use an Artline #17 Industrial marker. It is the longest lasting.

Otherwise get some Micro Brushes and a bottle of touchup from the dealer. Its not that hard if the chip is small
