Jetta Vs. Passat Tail Lights

Quick question.

Is there a difference between Passat & Jetta tail lights.

I own a Jetta and I like r36 tail lights. Go figure

Jetta



It may seem obvious, but i've been convincing myself that there isnt much difference...I realise there is a difference between the two photo's above, but I contend that is purely because of the angles at which the photos are taken.

The R36 tailight are more curved where as teh jetta has a more angular shape.
This is noticable on the top inner coner of the boot light.

Why not just get these:

Your Jetta seems to not have LED tail lights! What's going on?

Nah thats just an image grab I snatched off google...Mine have led's, albeit no tint to them...I just look in awe when I see a set of r36 tails...

Did you not notice that the R36 reflectors are chrome instead of red... ?

What do you think about the fried egg style tail lights on the CC?

Even better, the mods which switch the parking & brake light signals.

Did you find out if the tail lights are interchangeable between Passt & Jetta?
