If it is a daily driver then I would say a clean and condition every 3-4 months as a minimum, if the car only ventures out at weekends then still every 6-8 months.

I would always recommend a leather shampoo/cleaner followed by a conditioner. The first opens the pores of the leather and is designed to remove dirt gently from the surface and the grain. While the leather conditioner then imparts moisture back to the leather keeping it soft and supple.

For more info on technique try here http://howto.carcareproducts.com.au/...d_conditioning

Good products for newish leather are Duragloss, Zaino, Swissvax for older leathers that a bit of restoration then perhaps Leatherique.

I can recommend the Zaino Z9 Cleaner and Z10 Conditioner. Purchased from carcareproducts. Worked a treat on my seats, especially on the bolsters which have a bit of wear and tear. I actually used some of the Z9 on my steering wheel as well, it cleaned up beautifully, nice and supple but not slippery.
