Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Best car wash place in Sydney

Anyone have any recommendations for good car wash places in Sydney?
I've had some bad experiences and want to know which places use the best products/take the most care when washing cars
MY07 Golf GTI. TR. Sunroof. Leather. DSG. 18" Karthoum's. H&R Sport Springs. Sharan Antenna.

honest answer mate get some decent gear from carcareproducts and do it urself. No carwash cafe etc will do a good enough job. However if it was me and wanted some1 else to do it I would be talking to Dan_DMS

People that take care when washing cars are the owners of those cars. People who don't care = almost everyone else, unless you're willing to pay for a detailer to just wash...

Do it yourself unless you don't have the time of course

I've had a reasonable experience at Maguiars at Baulkham Hills.
They did the wash I asked for without the usual up-sell.

Its clearly by far the Rock-and-Roll car wash in Fairfield Heights which sells you drugs as part of the detailing package...

The better question is which of these car scratchers has a decent coffee?

Digging up an old thread... Anyone know or recommend a place for self serve (high pressure hose) car wash in Sydney South/South west? Somewhere near Hurstville area.

Carlovers is the franchise, off the top of my head....they have a few, not sure if there's one there but there'll be something like that. Obviously if you go in the evening you can use your own car wash and stuff and dry it all yourself without worrying about others.

EDIT: Looks like the nearest one is Marrickville, or there's Car Wash Kingdom at Ashfield...
