  • '09 Caddy load area lining template?

Hello. I have recently placed an order for a new Caddy TDI. I want to install rear load area lining to reduce noise and insulate. I've seen a plywood lining kit available in the UK, but want to use a different product and have it cut in Adelaide. Does anyone know where I can source a template for these panels? They need to fit the standard wheel-base van, with no side windows or RHS sliding door. Any suggestions of suppliers or web sites would be very much appreciated. Cheers, Stewart

I'd just make a template with cardboard. You could lay a section in the centre and then use additional strips either side. When you get them cut to the shape you want, tape them onto the centre section. It's not a complicated shape so it should be pretty easy to do..

That's what we did with my mum's ford territory. When we used it for business we had to move fridges around so we needed plywood to cover the area, so we taped cardboard up and drew it onto a big plywood board, cut it out and shaped to fit.

Thanks for your thoughts. I have tried sourcing the panels through the UK Commercial Vehicle network, but they will not sell to me and refer me back to Volkswagen Australia. My Adelaide dealer tells me they can't access these parts. I've tried a couple of other VW parts suppliers on-line and they aren't being helpful either. How hard is it to give retailers money? )

          Yep. They're idiots. Hahaha.

I'd try Iverach Volkswagen in Dubbo. Pretty much every department there seems to have their head screwed on correctly and i've got nothing but good things to say about them.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll give them a try during the week. Cheers
