  • Which carwash lets me use my own soaps?

Is there any car wash that I can go to that will let me use my own soap to hand wash the car? I just basically want to use their high pressure hose, as I cant manage to be available between 4-4:30pm on a wed or sunday for the water restrictions...

The best thing i find to do mate is go after peak hours say after 9pm with your own bucket of water with a sealed lid that way noone will worry if you do.

Never heard of one that will let you. If you are using a PH Neutral shampoo it would improve their water quality anyway!

I'd say just wash the car at home when you can but be mindful of the water you use. Are you still allowed to use a bucket? If so, get a spare bucket and mount a hose fitting on the bottom, connect your pressure washer and leave it under a running tap or just fill it up. It will still work and conforms to the law.

Yep what I do as well if I'm too lazy to use the bucket. I've polished and waxed my car at these places with a mate too. 10pm until past midnight, only saw one other car come in for a wash.

Alright, will go with that suggestion then, seems to be consensus, and if everyone is doing it... it must be OK. haha However, we've got unlimited water usage here in the S-E Qld till next sunday, so I'm making use of it
