  • Wheel Wipes

Just been to Aldi, as you do, they have a product called Alloy Wheel Wipes, in a tube for $4. Sounds like a good idea, have bought but haven't tried. Cheap enough.

Doesn't actually say on the tube, just made in China so i am guessing it's Panda Excrement.

eeeep...sounds a bit scary man haha. As Dan will say, be careful about what it's got in it so that it's not too strong/doesn't eat through your paint.

It does say not to use on paint, specifically for alloy wheels. Will let you know

FYI most alloy wheels (all OEM ones) are painted exactly the same as the car is so be very very careful mate!

I just share the love of my Carnuba (I never spell it correctly!) body wax on the wheels

With the temps the wheels experience it probably doesn't last long. For wheels at the moment Optimum Opti-Seal is awesome but there is something better on the way, keep an eye out for when Car Care Products releases it

Haha Good old Aldi, I bought these puppies just to wipe the inside of my exhaust.

They work a treat and bring my twin pipes sparkling after a wash....not sure if i would actually use it on my rims though.

Either way, i am off to read up more on some high quality waxes before summer hits.

I just use an old microfibre mitt with hot soapy water (a drop of car wash in it) which does the trick nicely.

The rs4 reps take awhile to clean but they're nice when they're all done. I'd probably go through several tubes by the time I cleaned all my rims...lol

I'm not sure where I got it from now, but I use WheelWax on mine, I love it, great product, you don't use much and it's lasted me for ages. I've never ever used a "wheel cleaner" on any of my wheels, just a mild non-wax stripping car wash like Megs Soft Wash between WheelWax applications and they come up spotless.
(Oh, and I like my wheels c-l-e-a-n)

I really wouldn't be using autosol as it is very grainy compared to other products out there on the market! It does leave fine scratches on metal once it is already polished.
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

It's grainy cos it polishes. It's like, the best oldschool treatment.

There's probably some cool new products but autosol is ridiculously cheap and easy..it wins.
