Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

you could probably use 2000 grit wet-sanding paper and lightly sand the surface down (make sure the sandpaper is soaked in water and you use water constantly!), and then polish (using an ABRAISIVE polish, not one of the filler types - that's stuff off the shelves) the surface then just wax it.

If you do end up trying that and aren't 100% confident, give DMS Dan a PM and ask him about it because he's our detailer

or boiling water with a razor blade? Once softened, lift up a corner with the blade then peel away. Has worked for me with old pinstriping, badges, etc.

Clean up any adhesive residue with Eucalyptus oil on a rag...wash hands after!

This way there is no abrasion, and is pretty much fool proof if you use common sense.
