Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Will They Fit

I have a set of Seat Ibiza 2Door GTI seats (came out of the same model as loons old car) sitting around doing nothing. Question is will they bolt straight into my MK2? Rears aswell?

I think the rails on the front seats are different, but if you swop the metal bases over on the bottom part of the seat, the backs will clip straight on and they will bolt in.

Rears will fit, provided you have the bracket for the splitfold mechanism on the floor of your car. If not, it can be bolted in.

Theyd look good in a Mk2 and have GTI on
