Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Hi all, just reviving an old thread.

I live in an apartment in Sydney city which unfortunately lacks a car wash bay/area so that i can wash the car myself, so I'm looking for some recommendations for a place to get my car washed.

I used to go to the A1 car wash in St Peters, but recently saw another one, SCW Express Detailing, in Broadway.

Anyone tried SCW before? Any good/bad experiences with them?

Also, any recommendations on where to get my car detailed (washed/polished/waxed) that's near the city?

I've tried the polish/wax option at car wash places before and they don't look like they take much care doing it since they look like they're rushing through it so they can get to the next car in line. Is it worth going to a proper detailing place or sticking with that option at a car wash place?

Depends on how much you wanna spend.

I'd rather not take it there esp for a big money detail. For a wash and JUST a wash, yeah maybe . That place charges like $150 for a machine polish doesn't it?

If you're going to get a good polish, take it to someone who runs their own business and doesn't have clowns working for them.

      In Sydney there's DMS_Dan

Don't go to carCareproducts as they will turn you into a carcare crack addict that constantly wants a shiny car

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
