  • Removing body filler

Hey guys, I've hit a snag on my shaved bumper project. I've actually applied some body filler to the small gaps and indents from the plastic welding and have discovered that the filler has begun to crack in places, clearly because this was meant to be used on static applications and not on bumpers with flex.

Is there any product or technique I can use to remove this excess filler, despite being apparently used for plastic applications, its really the wrong one unfortunately. Any help would be much appreciated

What filler is it? If it's the older stuff you use on bare metal I'm not sure but if it's that new-style filler you can put onto primed surfaces, my guess would be chemical/paint stripper lol.

Otherwise, pick it out with a scraper and a small scribe!

wire brish or flapper disk will work, but its kinda like going rabbit hunting with a bazooka!

screw driver ought to crack most of it off.

Thanks for that, I'll give the screwdriver a go once I soften the area up with some turps...
