Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • MkIV Golf front on a Bora

I have seen Golfs with Bora fronts, I wondered if this could be done the other way. I think it would set my Bora aside from the others

I like the bora front on a golf, but cant say the same for the opposite. The Golf nose looks soft on the Bora.

Mr. JLT (who frequents the MkIV forum) has a Bolf - a Golf (LHD R32!) with a Bora front. It looks pretty good.

I agree with you on the Gora (Bora with a Golf front) - looks a bit soft.
          Nothing to see here...

golf front can look good on the bora, but it has to be an .:R and has to back it up with some performance

if i had the money, this would be my project: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1uaTM7MLKU

now tell me, that jetta isn't perfect

that bora (jetta) looked nice but being that my car is black, i do not think my car will look as nice as this one. the white pulls it together and my photoshop proberly do not do it justice, might try fiddling around with it a bit more.

lol. that 2 door bora is a work of art... sooooo much effort put into it... i reckon an r32 front bar would look good on a bora with a golf front. or a big shaved cl bar.

                        mmm bolf and gora..

Exactly my thoughts. Work of art all the way. I might be biased though, it is a white car.....

That said, I usually only like the Bora front on golfs. The bora is an aggressive looking car, even subtly so; when you put round boggle-eyed headlights on it, it makes it look goofy.
