  • The pulling of fenders...

    Hey ho!
In my mk3, I have low low suspension and 15mm spacers on each of the rear wheels. Although it removes some of the horrible "tucked" look and makes it look a little bit more "down and out", it rubs on the rear wheel arch's...

Now i've bent in the lip a tiny bit, but that's cracked the paint (oh well, won't win any DOVW awards with that)

What I wanna know is how I can modify the guards to:
    A: not rub (as much)
B: run lower offset (whether through new wheels or bigger spacers or both if getting porsche wheels)
    C: look cool

Oh yeah, mk4's don't have the lip in the rear, only the front (you lucky fiends)

Here are some pics for views/discussion...

Apparently i can take to the rear guard with a body hammer and baseball bat, then presumably fill and paint, thereby coming to this ending...

There are places that can roll the lip, completely up and away with a special tool without breaking the paint. Costa xxx1.8T got it done on his A3, someone will do it in Melbie.
