Sorry I just saw your remark I rarely look here nowadays , we still have the car " she who must be obeyed " is addicted to it & it suits us as inner Syd suburban 2nd car ideally. After searching a VW parts guy told me aftermarket Car Play Unit Apple/Android which looks same as factory head unit & it was ok about $700 fitted with rear camera out Homebush area by memory , it worked ideally on my iphone but always " echo" on her samsung android it needed cord from phone into unit to work & was ok. Since then we replaced that unit with Kenwood 10" ?? I think off memory with floating screen & JBL hidden speaker & it needs no cords for carplay etc , it has been perfect but as with anything you get what you pay for. I am semi retired ex motor trade & often get her to use something else for couple days & only today she told me 2022 car she went to Newcastle in a few days ago was " tinny " compared to her car , I keep buying Skodas as play toy they don't do much wrong !!
