This is something that I want to do too. The current lights are so yellow they look out of place and date the vehicle. -
change them for LEDs. then buy an adaptor that has the required resistors in it. Or buy your own from jaycar and install them yourself.
I think you will be hard pressed to find an LED that wont cause 'errors'Comment

I've been reading up on it and apart from being a fiddly job the big negative is having the resistor/heatsink that uses the power you are saving. They get very hot and a few people have changed back because of their concerns and others because of the error getting triggered.
I'll wait until a better solution is found.Comment
