    folks . . .

First service for my Yeti, $250.00.

Does this sound okay ? How much has others paid, or am I the only one that has cracked the 15,000km so far ?

DUDE! Where did you get it serviced ? I just had my 103 Tdi serviced and paid $320 which I thought was pretty decent, since Mazda charges in excess of $350 every 6 months/10 000km.

Anyone know any dealers in Melb area where you could take a Yeti for a service?

I can't say for sure, but I seem to remember someone telling me the 15K service for the Yeti was close to $500 from Zagame in Richmond where I purchased the car. Could be way off, like I said, and I'm sure to ask in another 4K kms when I get close to the mark.

But if there's anyone someone recommends for Skodas/VWs other than here, I'd appreciate knowing.

Someone previously recommended VolksTech to me - they're in Heidelberg West which is mega close for me. Anyone else used them?

When I picked up mine Zagame's showed me the service schedule and costs - I was pretty sure that it was about $350-$400.

I'll helping my aunty look for a car, and I think the Yeti is a great contender, and my personal choice, but they're not ready for the full Euro experience (see Audi service prices) how are all you Yetiists finding the cars general expenses against previous things you've owned (probably could start a new thread but it is related)?

$250 is pretty much in the ballpark for us independants.

Mine was $330 excluding oil - I supplied the oil. Last Polo service, the oil charge was $90+GST and the 15k service was >$400 a few years ago. I presume the dealers are charging a standard rate from VWA?

Also got the V6 satnav maps. Why doesn't someone tell us when updates are available? You'd think they might like to sell a few...

15K service booked in for next week @ VolksTech. Very friendly when booking in over the phone, quoted $275 - much less then from where I bought it.

It seems so bizarre to me, servicing a car once a year. But I'm guessing it's pretty common these days for 15K service intervals? I think my last 2 cars have been 10K (Nissan) & 12.5K (Subie), so I've been working my way towards 15K

Still love driving the Yeti. Still get looks everywhere I go (If I could read faces, I predict said looks fall into 2 categories: "Fck that's an ugly piece of crap" and "They sure are an interesting looking car"). Regardless, it's nice to not blend in with pretty much every other compact SUV on the market. They all look as alike to me as Commodores and Falcons do to my wife.

Hope Skoda don't get in with VWA's fixed price servicing. $370 for 15k service for Tiguan.
