Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Isn't it identical to the current one?
I.e. same headlight style with separated bulb housings imbedded in the bumper

It's a mid cycle facelift that's all. All that will happen is some changes around the edges to show that the 2013 model is new and hip and with it. Based on standard European cycles the 2015 model will have some reasonable engineering upgrades, the 2017 model will have another facelift and the 2019 model will be all new.

I figured as much but normally they change the lights and grill but this one looks identical to me so it might just be the bumpers get a slight change.

They are making a big fuss about the Yetis front look so they are unlikely to change it much this time at least. They could have LED daytime lights or something or even HID standard but I suspect that would be about all other than some tweaking of the grill and bumpers..
