Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • How to proceed - Skoda Superb interstate

I am not sure how actually to proceed - any suggestions welcome.

I am in NSW (Australia). I have a car I need to trade (private sale not practical). As expected local dealer does not have a Superb in stock. I have found one close to my requirements at an interstate dealership. Would my dealer be able to negotiate with interstate dealer and the whole process handled locally or will I need to travel interstate (with trade vehicle)?

    Thanks in advance

newxr, you situation no different to mine. I traded my car to a Sydney dealer who sourced the car I wanted from new Superbs in the dealer network. Mine was landed in Brisbane & shipped to my Sydney dealer for delivery to me. Dealers co-ordinate these things through the Skoda Australia manager responsible. My sister's Octavia was also bought in Sydney, sourced from dealer stock in Qld.

newxr, are you getting a second hand vehicle or a brand new one?
