Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • headlight washers.. park mode?

any one know how i can get my washers to stay out (assuming i have them) on my Superb so i may be able to take the face plate off and touch them up.... i know to put the wipers in Park mode (so you can change the blades with ease) you just turn off the key, and push the wiper colum down so that it springs back but makes the wipers move.. they move to the vertical and stop there until you start the car again...

Can the same be done with the washers??

No. But what you can do is turn your lights on. Activate your washers and then when they are out just grab hold. Then you can remove the cover. They just move under water pressure so you wont damage them.
