Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I saw another Superb on the road! It's pretty rare for me to see another Skoda - let alone another Superb, but there she was parked across from me at the local shopping center. Maybe it's just my bad luck not to see them more often - such a good car and I don't understand why they're not more popular here. Was so excited I took a photo to prove it to my wife! You can see my Superb with a white Superb in the background.

    Well Roger,

I completely agree with you. They are a severely under rated car. Not many on the roads indeed. I do see more wagons than sedans but I do occasionally see the odd sedan from time to time. Saw a beautiful purple sedan in Hurstbridge (Vic) a few weeks back and got talking with the proud lady owner who said, "I wouldn't sell this car for quids" It's the most comfortable and beautiful car I've ever owned" (Quote- Unquote)

And I've got to agree with her. Mines now done 23,000 Ks of mainly country miles and I wouldn't do it in any other car. Very...very comfortable. And roomy!!!!

Well I also have a Candy White Sedan. Here's a photo of mine from a photo I prepared earlier.

    Enjoy.....and remember....spread the word.

The white one was probably my Wife's TDI (especially if spotted in a Brisbane shopping centre)- Awesome car - rashed wheels & all!

I see them all the time, even in Toowoomba I've seen them about before the dealer started selling them. I see Octys a lot, now my daughter goes to school I see an identical one to ours in the morning sometimes even near home. Superbs I would see at least once a week if not more.

Well, it was spotted in a Brisbane shopping center - one near Rochedale. If so, nice to see someone local! It(the car) certainly looked pretty good.

Your luck must be better than mine - i regularly see one other Superb at the my work - a lightish blue colored one, like duck egg blue or something, and a few Octavia's around the place. My FIL has an octavia which I see all the time, so it's skewing the results somewhat I did notice a Octavia wagon being used as a black and white taxi in Brisbane.

I noticed a heap of Passat wagon taxis in Brisbane around Christmas so would expect some Superb wagons show up there. It has the downside of stuffing up resale when heaps of ex Taxis are kicking about though.

Ha, too funny, that's our car. I was a bit disappointed you specified the car was good looking. Always thought the driver wasn't too bad either . Car looks even better these days with new wheels.
We're sort of locals. I refuse to give my money to Coles or Woolworths so we drive about 5km to the Supa IGA at Rochedale.

I regularly see 3 or 4 Superb wagons in the Thirroul (NSW) Plaza car park. Then there are a couple of Octavias, Fabias and Yetis as well. They are certainly popular although I think mine is the only V6.

Decided on the weekend I might have to get rid of the Superb as they are getting too common. Pulled up next to one trying to get out of Carindale shopping centre boom gates. Just for once it wasn't me stuck behind the person that had lost their parking ticket. That did make me smile a bit.
Then went 400m round the corner to fill up with fuel only to park next to another wagon doing the same. Finally sitting at the lights a new facelift wagon pulls up next to us. Not bad for an 8km trip.

Superbs? I see them all the time. Would say almost everday. It's not unusual for me to see a few Octavias each day including the Mk3. I see Fabias hardly ever and once in a while a Yeti. Never ever have I seen a Rapid.
