  • Windscreen water leak? Superb Wagon

    Well my Easter is shot!
Went to move my car after heavy rain o'night and found driver's footwell wet and water dripping in!
Too wet to investigate but obviously need to do something pronto.
    Anyone experience this with Superbs?

That's not good. Was the window open?

      No I wish it was!
It must be the windscreen or close by as with the door open you could see it coming in between the trim panels that overlap in the doorway on the A pillar.
My only other thought was is there a drain that runs down from the sunroof that has gone astray somewhere?

Definitely bring it back and let the dealer look at it. Any car should not leak rain water.

My dad's Camry had similar problem with his sunroof. So it is unfortunate, but things do get wrong, regardless what brand of the car it is. People will just scruitinize it more when it is a Skoda.

With my car, other than the initial glitch, it has no further problem now. I am enjoying it too much that I don't even want another car in 3 years time. (Maybe another Superb!)

Almost due for 15000 service so will take then. Got the noisy air con flaps to fix too. Other than that tho ALL good.

I had a BMW 3 series that suddenly started filling the boot up after heavy rain. The dealer spent hours with a hose around the rear window, boot opening etc. Eventually he found it was a blocked drain channel from the sunroof. Like oil leaks on my old motorbikes; you can see the results but tracking the problem is very time consuming and frustrating. At least your car is still under warranty so maybe get new carpets and trim in the deal....
