Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Yep, Amethyst Purple would definitely be my choice in colour for the Superb (apart from the Mocca Brown/Black they used to offer). I think it looks fantastic and Parkesy you'll certainly have to be on the next Skoda cruise .

        Thanks Gents,

I'm very happy with the colour choice. Was a bit unsure until I saw it waiting for me at the dealer - it looked better 'in the metal' than in the brochure / photos! The sales guy did say that they'd be discontinuing this colour soon as well, so better get in quick Jake.

Count me in for the cruise!

Sorry Parkesy. To be honest I'm not quite sure where I got the idea of thinking yours was a diesel. Looks good through, even if it's behind is a little larger than mine lol.

Mocca Brown gets phased out after week 39 of production and considering the lead times for production at the moment you would be lucky to get one in Mocca Brown now. Aqua Blue isn't available on the V6's in the MY12 Superb range but is on the rest of the range which I find a little strange. A factory in Germany has just opened up that can produce the same paints that were being produced in Japan, so hopefully the colours were phased out make a comeback real soon! I see Landrover have made the paints that they phased out available for the Evoque, so hopefully Skoda will bring back their phased out paints.

I thought black magic is still on offer. I just ordered one.

It is, I was describing the Mocca Brown as Brown/Black because it's half way between the two. Sorry for any confusion!

Let's hope they bring back Rosso Brunello!!

                      Hi Guys
Phillip in Roxburgh Park, Melbourne here.
I have a Rosso Brunello Superb Elegance TDI125 wagon bought in Jan online from a dealer in Coffs Harbour NSW.
Originally a demonstrator for VGA it now has 13000 km's on the clock and I couldn't be happier with it. Runs on the smell of an oily rag! I would put up a couple of pics but apparently I'm not allowed (yet?) P.

Is that superb above platin grey?

That rosso brunello above looks good too, classy.

Cappuccino Beige. I was tossing up between this, white or that light silver. I had a colour similar to this in a Commodore and it was great for hiding the dust we get out here.
