as CanberraVRS mentioned, this delayed the departure time from melbourne. instead of leaving at the scheduled time of 3pm, it left at 6pm.

It's ok to admit you didn't know how to fix without a reboot. I know many IT people who wouldn't know to clear caches so it wasnt so dumb what he suggested. Computer scientists are another story.
