I think the V6 is a great car that won't be able to be afforded by many who desire it. We're not all CanberravRS here!
Jake, I never had a vRS at your age dude.. I had a 1983 Subaru Leone sedan. I have a great career which means I can now at 36 buy an awesome wagon..

                Superb Wagon 125TDI Ambition (6sp DSG) $49,006.00

                Superb Wagon 4x4 191FSI V6 (6sp DSG) $64,522.50
All priced similar to the VW equivalent. Kiwi i know you want to live in a sphere of denial but this product will not succeed unless pricing and recognition are revised.

They can launch another 50 new models, it wont make a difference until fundamentals are adhered too.

No sphere of denial here. Pricing is important but pricing means stuff all in relation to a 4 month wait to most potential buyers. When Joe and Jane go out to buy a car they expect to buy the car today or next week and be able to be driving it in at most a couple of weeks not to still be waiting in mid September.

Another in agreement. Especially with a growing brand like Skoda, I can't see many people wanting one enough to wait 4 months plus for delivery. Maybe they should shut down in Oz until supply picks up?

One of my customer was in hurry to get Octavia and he had demo and exactly what he wanted within 3 weeks. I don't think that many people buy a car on impulse and are prepared to wait. There was waiting list in Germany for KIA Sorento diesel several years ago and people were waiting for 12 months to get that SUV.

I don't think that shut down in OZ until supply picks up would be smart thing to do.

Lack of stock is the problem , and the correct stock is a priority .

When i bought the rs in 08 the yard was littered with hatches in yellow and red , hardly doing justice , and very few wagons , 1 black wagon ,1x blue no silver .

They should by now have a handle on the fact the wagon is the seller , just bring them in in the right combo , and do the same with the superb wagon .

People will buy on the day if its in stock and close to their required specs if not comletely right .

It wasn't a particularly serious comment, but I really don't think that the stock situation recognises the Oz market, which is more like the US (see and buy) rather than UK (order and wait, and wait, and wait. I was reading about an irish guy on another forum who ordered in Jan and is facing a June delivery for an Octy wagon).

With so few dealers, carrying enough stock and the right stock must be very difficult. But having some stock is very important, so you can at least show people what they're waiting for. Yes, dealers appear to have been burnt with Roomsters, but to basically run out of stock of everything else, when other brands have alternatives on their lots seems negligent....
