Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hey all,

    Picked up a MY19 Superb Sportline wagon about a month ago and have joined the forum to have a look around to see what I can learn as I have come from a different background and interested to know a bit more about these VAG’s [emoji2955]

    Here’s a pic

    Welcome to the site mate!

    Nice looking ŠKODA Superb Sportline.

    That is probably the second Superb in OZ that I have seen with Supernova wheels!

    Here are the details on the wheels;
    Supernova brushed light-alloy wheel 8.0J x 19" for 235/40 R19 tyres in glossy black design (3V0 071 499 JX2)
    ŠKODA Genuine Accessories

    What tyres did they supply with the accessory wheels? Bridgestone Potenza S001 or Pirelli P7?

    Did you get the Locking Wheel Nut Set included with the wheels?
    As ŠKODA (unlike Volkswagen) do not supply Locking Wheel Nuts with their cars...

    What other accessories did you get?

      Thanks mate.

      Yes, Supernova wheels have only become an option for the MY19 Sportline only. Few more now on carsales are coming in with them optioned.

      Mine has the Bridgestone S001 tyres.

      No locking nuts, maybe I’ll price up a set...

      It’s fully optioned with virtual dash and sunroof. Anything less would’ve bugged me. Life’s short right?!

      Other than that, I got the double sided boot mat and that was it. Then got a full Opticoat protection package done inside and out and Rayno S9 film on the front.

        Here the details on the Lock Nuts;

        - Locking wheel nut set
        The bolts require a special adaptor to be unscrewed to avoid unauthorised wheel removal
        ŠKODA Genuine Accessories (Part No. 000 071 597C)
        MY18 VW Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg Edition + Panoramic Sunroof + some extra goodies... (Pure White)

          Thank you for that.

          Do you know if the black nut covers from the standard wheel nuts fit on the locking nuts ?

            Here are the details on the Bolt Caps;

            - Bolt caps ŠKODA Genuine Accessories
            Compatible with locking wheel nut set (Part No. 000 071 597C)
            black matte (1Z0 071 215A 01C)
            Compatible with standard wheel nut set
            black glossy (1Z0 071 215 9B9) & black matte (1Z0 071 215 01C)

            So you actually need to change from "black glossy" to "black matte" covers as they do not make "black glossy" covers for the (4) lock nuts. Then you order (16) "black matte" caps to suit the standard wheel nut set.

            I too had to change all mine from "silver-grey glossy" to "silver-grey matte" to be compatible (all separate part numbers that you do not require for your wheels).

              What oil do you run in your Superb? I am torn between 502.00 and 504.00 spec

                    JB4 is a piggy back tuning tool. Great to keep your new car warranty, just remove before your dealer visit.

                    Also join Facebook group skodamodderz mate, lots of tuning and mod options for this platform

                    Dyno sheet of the 2 pre set maps, I'm now over 200kw at the wheels with a downpipe with 22psi (stock is about 18psi)

                        Thanks, might look in to it but I don’t have a lot of desire to mod this one at the moment. Might change my mind eventually
