Ex-Fleet Car Warranty?

I’m considering buying a 2017 Superb that is an ex fleet vehicle. I understand that Skoda shifted to 5 year warranty in 2017 but the salesman seemed to think as it was a fleet vehicle it would only have a 3 year warranty. Does anyone have any wisdom on this?

Doesn't sound right - Skoda only restricted the mileage to 100k (from unlimited) for rentals/taxis, they still otherwise get five years.

Presumably it's been on fleet for two years and he is thinking three left?

Have just put the VIN into My Skoda app and shows that it's been registered since 07/2017 and has extended warranty of 5 years/150,000km so looks to be ok.

Are all services registered through the app too? Only showing the Delivery Inspection and a one year service at 40,000km.

Yea I'm starting to think that might be wise. As I've not come across the app before is is normal that all services get logged in there now?

Only Pre Delivery and Majors (15, 30, etc (12 months)). Its only updated by the dealer, so Check for a service record in the paper work. Id say a fleet car wouldn't skip on servicing, just may not of visited Skoda that often.

My App shows, PD and 15k service.
It has been to Skoda for a Oil and Filter at 1,500km, and its not logged in App.

Thanks mate. The dealer who has the car doesn't have it on site yet so will be eagerly waiting to flip through the log book to check. Playing the game of wait for this one to turn up or buy a cracking deal near new Octavia with an extra $8K in my pocket this weekend game now!

As in just that and nothing else? Were your next services at a Skoda dealer or somewhere else?

Mine has ony done 8000km so far, nothing else to record yet.
Mum's Fabia has all services recorded.

mine (MySkoda app) shows PD and 15k service (12 months).
the app will only show that if its been serviced by Skoda (aka VW Service Centre).

independents don't have access to the service log tool, apparently.

If the "Fleet" happens to be a rental company I wouldnt touch one after hiring a nearly new vehicle in the USA

Book said it needed a service at 7500 miles. Took it in to their service centre and the guy said what its for, I told him scheduled service.

He said has the light come on. "No" well drive it till it does and dont worry about it. Turned it in at 13800m and light had never come on.

If thats the way they treat them I would never buy one.

Thanks for all the pointers. I ended up going for a near new Octavia Sport instead. Will jump on a Superb for the next car when the family has grown A little I think. The wife just wasn't happy with the size for the time being.

After helpfully checking the VIN in the My Skoda app I can;t seem to be able to delete the Superb though. Anyone found how to delete vehicles or is this a one way street?
