Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • Golus alloy wheels

    Hi,

i have a 2014 Octavia 3 Elegance with the Golus alloy wheels. I recently kerbed one and I'm tossing up whether to repair or replace. The Skoda shop site lists them (Alloy wheel Golus 7.5J x 18" | Å KODA E-shop) and the price coverts to about $270 or $220 excluding VAT. My local dealer says that "the European price is no indicator of Australian pricing" and that it is a different part number and the Australian version is over $800 and there is 1 available in Australia . This seems a bit odd as the wheel on the website looks like mine and has the same specs (tyre size).

Just wondering if anyone has bought Skoda rims (Golus or other) from overseas and if there's really any difference to the European versions.

    Thanks.

It's BS. its all the same. I purchased my LED footwell/number plate lights from skoda cz. Dealer said same thing, different part/region same old story of incompatibility with AUDM. Anyways ordered it from Skoda CZ and fitted no issues. All my parts are from either Skoda CZ or Super Skoda as they are usually 1/4 of the price here.

Do Skoda CZ allow to ship to another country? I thought they only deliver within CZ Republic?

Thanks for the comments. I e-mailed Skoda CZ and they said they don't ship to Australia. I'll probably look at getting it from SkodaParts in New Zealand. Alloy wheel GOLUS 18" Skoda
