Not a bad review, interesting to hear about the front diff, as I thought it was going to be a gamechanger for the car.

Hopefully I'll get it before Xmas. We could of had a car from this shipment, but none had our colour/options, so Im told.

Mysticality, about 1/3 of the cars are here in Aus, From what I understand, there wont be many/if any demos at showrooms. Have to order before they will be shipped to dealer. So I hear...

No mention of exhaust note, I thought the RS230 was supposed to have a different exhaust system for a raspier note.
I know that it might be harder to tell without DSG, I wonder whether we missed out on that change too?
Also: Is the black roof an RS230 thing or do all RS sedans with sunroofs have it?

All hatches with sunroofs have that roof. It just stood out more on the white one.

From what i can gather, the difference is in the mid-muffler/resonator set-up, RS230 has a smaller cylindrical shape instead of the large elongated Prism like shape that's on RS220.

I really miss the rumble of our Mk2, would love to be able to bring it back a bit without messing with my insurance or too much fuss. Was thinking of maybe getting the RS230s if it can be swapped out without much drama.

He probably can't hear much of the exhaust note over the sound aktuator in sports mode, more so for everyone else's benefit because they are incredibly quiet standard. But in DSG form there is a definite "pop" in gear changes.

And when you get a sunroof, they make the front black, its the same as Audi etc. My friend's S3 has exactly the same roof profile as the skoda.

Its like a really long resonator on the 230. I think I saw photos on Briskoda.

Yeah that will be the same photo I saw. Same length different shape, hence difference in the total volume.

From my experience tinkering with the exhaust on the RS, you really do need a long resonator to completely eliminate droning.

Curiously, Fox exhaust in Germany sells a similar looking resonator and you can buy just the resonator.
