I almost bought from Eastside but gave Zagame the chance as my other RS was from there and had been serviced there. Between the stuff getting broken in my major service a year ago leading to a tow truck being needed to get it back there, and the worst new car handover I've ever experienced and ongoing issues with that I think I gave them a fair go. So will see how Eastside fare. My only concern is I haven't heard great things about that Mitsubishi service dept there and they are the same service centre. But they are right near my house so worth looking into.

Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Got my first service with Eastside next week (just the free 1500k checkup) but will be good to see how they operate. Must say I've been very impressed by their Service Manager though, i believe they moved him across from Mitsubishi but seems like a top bloke, good with communication and very attentive as I had a few questions just after i picked the car up which he was more than happy to go through on the spot with me.

Just a quick FYI - had the RS in for its free 1500k check at Eastside Skoda Nunawading not long ago, can confirm they still share their service department with Eastside Mitsubishi, however they have their own dedicated Skoda service team in the office. Can't say i can fault the service so far, both people in the office I've dealt with have been great, very thorough and professional - even though it was the free check they had the car for a couple of hours, gave it a wash inside and out, gave me a checklist and receipt at the end to show what was looked at etc. Anyway, hard to say how they operate if any major work is needed but will continue with them based on the experience I've had so far.

Lol don't believe everything on the internet, Essendon Skoda had a number one service CSI rating when i left. Workshop may have lost some of it's knowledge but the front office staff are still solid.
I personally know most of the bad service reviews on google, and none of them actually tell the story of what happened.Volks Handy

Didn't know there were bad reviews on Google, its been most of the owners here who weren't particularly taken by them. Essendon Skoda staff wouldn't be operating this workshop though I'd imagine they took some of the richmond staff with them.

Drove past here earlier in the week and seems an outright mess. I bought my first Skoda when Richmond still had some building works going on with the then new Audi and Skoda centres, but not like this. Seems a very messy handover when the building doesn't even have walls yet let alone things hanging and construction still going on.

Well yes that site is the South Yarra commercial, its the same people who bought from Zagame just they haven't used the group name before. I was in their service bit the other day, is it now moved, or will it always be the VW bit? Its a pain to drop cars off there compared to how Zagames eventually ended up when they expanded the servicing centre.
