Realistically, though - its unfortunate that the general public doesn't have a better perception of what really is a wonderful brand with - dare I say it - better build quality than the German cousins.
2012 Octavia vRS TDI. Darkside big turbo, 3bar tune, other stuff. 200kW/650Nm.
    1990 Mk1 Cabrio. 1.9 IDI w/ 18PSI.
    1985 Mazda T3500 adventuremobile. 1973 Superbug. 1972 Volvo 144 in poo-brown.
    Not including hers...

Last year I sold my RS in about 3 weeks and it was $6-7k difference over what dealers offered. DSG/TSI/Blue/Leather/Wagon - popular variant. It was worth the hassle of selling privately, but maybe I got lucky with buyers. The people who were keen weren't tyre kicking though, they were ready to buy and wanted that exact car.

My parents bought mine so didn't have to wait long. I gave them a pretty good price though.

That's not really an arms length 3rd party sale though

I am stressing for when I need to move mine along ..

I was intending to sell privately, but my parents jumped in. I find a lot of people are looking out for ours.

You're lucky. I sold my previous car to my parents. But I didn't get the price I wanted. I got $0

Anyway, most of the ads on carsales in NSW that I have seen stay on for months .. there is this one which I reckon has been on there for a year ! (I may be exaggerating a bit)

Yeah that one is obviously a demo model they had as the Mk3 came in. So a hard thing to shift as a dealer, especially when brand new Mk3s can be had for a good price.

I did think of getting another octavia but wagon RS135 but It's not enough power for me. I would want at least a 0-100 6s car and AWD and TDI.

Which brings me to Audi Quattro.
