New car paint protection

hi all,

Just wondering if anybody here decided to get aftermarket paint protection for their car? I'm keen on getting my RS done as I've had pretty good experience in the past with paint protection.

if you got it done and not at the dealer - could you let me know your experience? I'm trying to find a workshop in sydney I can trust to do a decent job

I'm in Alexandria - I'm also thinking of getting the front door windows tinted, I think they're done factory but its not that amazing - Opticoat seems to be the pick of the ones out there, happy to go to a workshop for it

Don't have the dealer do the paint protection or the tint.

Organise it yourself once you have the car.

You'll save yourself a small fortune.

Looks really good raraku. Is it just me or does your car look like a whole new shade of blue?
Seriously considering getting it done on mine as well, but not sure if I'll notice much difference on Moon White and the car is nearly 6 months old already.
Would you recommend the guys you used?

Well worth doing for the paint correction alone, and then the opti coat. You'll find the moon white really stands out with a decent paint correction.

I'm really happy with the job - I got exterior, glass and wheels done with opticoat. To the dealers credit they didnt try to push any of this stuff onto me, I went and sourced a guy who came to me and did the job, took him about 4 hours all up

Just another quick question...what happens in the event of an accident and you need to get some panels repainted. Can you opticoat just the repaired section or does the whole car need to be redone again? Coz that would be a real PITA

As far as I know it would only be on the sections damaged, I've since updated my insurance policy to reflect I've got Opticoat so it's covered too

I've had my other car in an accident and they redid all the entire car 2 yrs later.
