Skoda in China

I just came back from a business trip to Guangzhou South China, and VAG vehicles have a strong presence on Chinese roads. By coincidence at the time of my trip, the President of China was visiting the Czech Republic.

There was a profile on Czech investment & Skoda in the english language China Daily newspaper. In the past year, Skoda sold over 280,000 cars in China, which is over 25% of Skoda's total global vehicle production. A surprisingly important market. Here below a Chinese Octavia:

they have a manufacturing plant in China, but they only produce Chinese models there. AFAIK none are exported outside Asia.
