After some running around and calling different dealerships, speaking with their sales and service departments, i have located one dealer in Sydney and one dealer in Melbourne that will do it.

Im still trying to find out more details of the installation, parts used and end product comparison to OEM.

Quoted cost is $1000 supplied and fitted.

Warranty on the installation is 12 months and not covered by factory warranty.

One dealer said the reverse lines swivel like on the Audi's. Yet another dealer said it is static. Also to be confirmed with more questions.

If anyone else has questions about retrofitting OEM items, feel free to ask me and ill make the enquiries for everyone's benefit.

Pretty Sure my reversing lines don't swivel. Will have to check now Mines a factory RVC. Delivered 2015. TBH a bit disappointed with the camera resolution. Lines DON'T swivel - confirmed

I have the retrofit, it was done by my dealer in Richmond, who are part of Richmond audi. The lines do swivel for mine.

I just had a look at a July '14 build which just had the reversing camera fitted at Peninsula Skoda and it has the swivelling lines as well.

Autofidelity = Kufatec in Australia. Their stuff is well documented etc.

Am currently doing a RVC retrofit as DIY in my Mk2 (well it wasnt ever an option so does that make it retro fit or forward fit?). Did the camera install last week and ran the wire to reverse light. Now to get the B***dy camera wire to the front and into the RNS.

I have used a relay at the RVC and will use another at my RGB interface at the back on the RNS. I cant comment on swivel lines yet but I would say no. Using Relays so I can power the loop off acc power and not use the power off reverse light as many suggest. The reverse light circuit uses a modulated power supply so you can get lots of noise into the video feed due to varying current. I am only using the reverse light power feed to switch the relays. The camera wire i have has a power wire with it, to make it easy to get power to the front relay.

Will see how it goes. Will post when it is all done. Will cost me less than $250 in parts all up.

2 x relays with fuses $8 each

There are two camera versions guys - a lowline version with rigid guidelines (which seems to be the default from the factory) and a high version with dynamic guidelines that turn with the steering wheel. See here -- Rear view cameras

My boroher-in-law also just has one retrofitted to his brand new Octavia wagon; was a 'cross-over model' and fitted for free!

By "cross-over" do you mean an early 2015 model? My wagon is an early 2015 without rvc and I wouldn't mind getting one...
