Hi Guys,

I am looking at buying an Octavia in the near future, and have my eye on a black Elegance 2TDi wagon with the manual box (to replace my black MkV Comfortline 2TDi manual ).

I am based in Canberra, but willing to travel within a 3 hour drive to pick one up. Looking for dealers that offer good customer service and are negotiable on price. Is that asking too much ? ?

I ordered mine from Lennocks here in Canberra. They were willing to negotiate a bit on price, but not as much as I would have liked (and not as much discount as some VW buyers seem to get).

I couldn't be bothered with going back to a Sydney dealer if I had any problems. And yes, I know that technically all Skoda dealers can (and have to) do warranty work, but realistically if it is a marginal call you will always get more generous treatment from the dealer who actually made the profit from selling the car.

Our dealer in Geelong Vic gave me $3300 discount on our RS wagon. That was back in Nov 07. How about everyone else?

Pretty much the same on our RS wagon last month in Perth, also gave a reasonable trade in price on the vehicle we were trading (after walking away from their first pathetic offering).
