Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Bumper Strip on a 2014MY Octavia Wagon

    Bought a bumper strip to go on the rear bumper of a 2014 Octavia Wagon, not impressed given that it does not actually cover the whole top surface of the bumper. Thought I would post a pic in case anyone was interested in knowing what it looked like and the details.

    The item number was 5E9064711 and cost $216.

    Wow. That's a lot! Have a look at a rearguards bumper protector. I have one one order, but bought it through a us company that has **** service, Sherwood automotive. Should have bought it direct from rearguards uk

        I just ordered some clear plastic wrap off of Ebay for the new superb and my wife promises she is definitely going to hoist the two bay pram over the bumper - so I have to get a lip mat. I looked at these the "bumper protectors" on superskoda but they don't actually cover the edge of the bumper. Doesn't seem like much protection to me.

            They look better, could work with the wrap below the lip. Will contact them to find out how much shipping is.
