  • Flat/False Boot Floor

Recently I picked up the optional flat/false floor of another member (thanks mate)

You have to pop rivet two brackets into the car at the very rear of the boot
My car is a Nov 2011 and already had the holes drilled but others have had to drill their own holes
Anyway, that took 10 minutes (had to cut away some of my Dynamat sound deadening)

Then it's a no tools installation job, four hand operated clips lock the thing in place
It takes a bit of strength to lock the clips in - you wife wont be able to do it

So here it is - as you can see, it does reduce boot volume but the floor is flat with the door opening
(You can still use the boot compartments on the left and right)

You get this slim underfloor storage area to use

And the false floor can be used like this to segment the boot into a smaller place to stop stuff sliding around everywhere

    Whats it weight rated at?
If you were trying to sleep in the back, this would be a no brainer. That lip at the rear seats is a killer, sits just above your hip if your feet are at the rear door.

      It's rated at 70~80 kg

If you put support under the false floor it could hold more weight

Agree about that lip between the boot and rear seats is a nightmare
