Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. • 19 inch wheel fitment RS Octavia Wagon

    Hi,
I am looking at purchasing some second hand replica 19 inch Talladega wheels fitted to the (Golf R), advertised on this forum at the moment.

The wheels are 235 35 19, unsure of offset but my research indicates possibly et45??

My RS has lowered H&R springs (very mild drop) with plenty of room between guard and tyre.

I'm hopeful they will fit?? Any opinions or comments would be appreciated.

    thanks,

    Dazz

    Are these x 8 or x 8.5?

If x 8 and ET45 then should generally not be a problem, although with 235 rubber there might be some minor rub on hard cornering if the RS has the fender screw like the Golfs.

If x 8.5 or wider then may require further work to the camber or guards to avoid hassles.

19x8.5 ET+45 not an issue. sit flush with the guards. I run 235x45x19 rubber too

I get some scrubbing on the front over really fast hard bumps while turning. but not very often at all. there was no scrubbing while on the track either

I thought Lex had some tyre rubbing with his 235 tyres
