I've argued this before with the Golfs. So long as it's easy enough to slot the order into the production schedule and the buyer is willing to pay an extra deposit to cover the order risk of the color then within reason the order should be capable of being organised.

FWIW I think the green is cool, but I don't think I could order it at the end of the day because it would be a tough sell down the track.. although that may not be relevant in some people's buying decision.

I think what you have just mentioned is exactly the reason. They may be taking into consideration the resale price and maybe all those yellows from the Mk2 dragged down resale. This is a long bow though, Skoda don't seem concerned at all about things like that. I know Mazda fiercely resist fleet buying etc so that those don't pull the market down.

Did they get fleet discounts though? That's what Mazda were refusing to do. Times have changed for them recently Hyundai is eating their sales so maybe they relaxed it more. Bad news for anyone trying to sell one if so.

Yes. We pay 14 flat for Mazda2's with auto, rear rubber mat and 4 year warranty. And it's worth the extra over the Colt's we had before that.
