Just a little update. Phase 2 custom code tune is on (and loving it). Thanks Gavin.
Estimated 50ish extra horses at the wheels.
Idle is smooth as, power delivery is as before until you hit about 2500rpm then it's off.
My instantaneous fuel consumption appears to have dropped although I won't be able to really tell untill the thrill of the new tune wears off.
Traction in the dry is a bit of an issue until 4th and in the wet until 5th I will have to change my driving style to shift sooner now.

Big hats off to Gavin from optimum code for his help and customer service.

We still have a bit of logging to do and I should get another 5 to 10 horses but very happy already.

Glad you are happy Jason, turned into a bit of a mission at the start.

Thanks again Gavin for being easily approachable and willing to work with me.

I was getting some misfires according to my autopolar on all 4, decided that I may as well change them out along with the spark plugs as I will be going stage 2 soon - DP sitting awaiting install among various other things.

Picked up a set of four R8 coilpacks and OEM spark plugs for $170 delivered to my door from the US which is great for me since I'm at work most of these days and am unable to swing by anywhere for pick up.

Having a spare 30 minutes tonight, I gave it a go. Some results:

This is what every single coil looked like:

                    2009 1.8TSI 6MT Octavia Liftback
                    42,500km on the clock.
Serviced every 5,000-7,500km since I had it at 17,000km.
Tarmac Engineering Intake and Stage 1 Bluefin.

Started carbon cleaning a little via the vacuum port since 25,000km I believe, could have been 30,000km. Includes using euro specific LiquidMoly additive which ran through the system for 10 minutes on idle before each oil change. No massive exhaust smog ever came out.
