  • Golf suspension compatability with 1Z Octavia

So I want to be sure before I spend my hard-earned cash on some coilovers.

Going by company part numbers, I see the Mk V golf and 1Z Octavia are mostly interchangeable for springs and shocks. How about Mk VI?

I know the RS has the 55mm front shock tube, so I know what to order with that.

Am I correct in assuming Mk V sway bars etc will also fit? Or are Mk5 and Mk 6 interchangeable also? I know I need to get FWD versions of sway bars.

    Thanks guys!

AFAIK, MkV=MKVI=1Z=Jetta MKV, etc. Springs, dampers, sway bars, control arms, etc same, same, simples

that's what I thought, I know spring rates a different depending on the chassis, but they are the same dimensions.

              thanks!
