2013 Octavia vRS wagon in the flesh

Last night, I was walking to a party in Geneva when I came across a new Octavia vRS wagon complete with promotional decals. I was so excited that I snapped some photos on my phone to share - sorry, these were taken on my phone at night, and there were other cars parked in front of and behind the Skoda.

Some first impressions:

• the front bumper/spoiler area is very angular. I'm not sold yet on the creases just between the foglight and the headlight or the jutting lip at the bottom of the front spoiler,
• the roofline has been 'tightened' somehow. My first thought was that it slopes more towards the rear but it's nowhere near as bad as the Commodore wagon,
• the exhausts really do make a statement.

I think I had pretty well decided that my next Octavia would be a wagon but I'll be looking out for a liftback around town for a comparison.

Yes, the wheels don't seem to be a massive change from the current version.

Front lip kinda hints at the front of a Lambo. At least a little easier to clean than the current VRS.

Weird thing is, it doesn't look as bad in this vid... Maybe the lighting?

As much as we might nit-pick about it, I still know that I'm going to get a new Octavia when I get back to Australia!

My wife has now put it into my head to find a hire company with Skodas and to take one out for a weekend.
