Hi All,
I had an issue over the weekend where what I thought was a seized turbo but turns out to be fuel related.
Background of the car as follows:
2008 VRS only current engine mods are a BSH PCV delete.
Servicing is done every 10,000km by me using new filters and 507.00 oil.
It gets an UEC each service and fuel system cleaner each 15,000km.
After the last service I noticed the fuel consumption go at idle from 0.8lt/h to 0.9lt/h.
Symptoms are driving to the shops it was fine, making boost and driving like normal.
Got back in after shopping for 10 minutes started the 10 minute drive home and half way it felt like I had lost boost.
After scanning for faults with a bluetooth dongle and Torque app it called a P2293 fault code; Fuel pressure regulator 2 performance.
I had read a little about this and thought it may be the lifter on the High pressure fuel pump.
I pulled the pump off to check the lifter and it is perfect so I am at a loss. I have attached a picture of it.

Thanks in advance
Jason
