Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Window cleaning (tricky position)

    Hi,

I feel a bit silly about asking this question but oh well......

The bottom of my front side windows are quite dirty (approx 1cm), I haven't had a chance to try and clean them yet but there doesn't seem like much room at all between the rubber strip and the glass, how/what can I use to get to this area?
I am praying that its not on the inside, wedged between the glass and tint! Surely the tinter would have cleaned this if it was.

    Thanks.

      You could try this -
CAR Windscreen Cleaning Tool Wonder Wand Demister Microfibre Wiper Cleaner KIT | eBay

Someone gave me something similar once (from a $2 shop), but I've never used it
