Fast wagons are great.. and the GT220 is a good looker (ugly interior and steering wheel though!)
But kinda seems slow with a 0-100km time of 7.6 when you compare to the Octvaia RS which is bigger and more practical (and faster)
The Skoda Octavia RS Hatch does 0-10kmph in 7.5 in Europe on 100 octane fuel
The Skoda Octavia RS Wagon here in Australia is more like 7.8 seconds
(but that can easily be improved)
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels
Oh I thought the MKII octavia RS wagon was a bit quicker than that..
I know the MKIII RS is closer to the high 6's, low 7's but i guess that a different beast altogether
The last few posts are a good demonstration of how 0-100 is a marketing tool for vehicles.
On the way to work this morning, I was considering as I merged onto the freeway that I've no idea how fast (or slow!) My 0-100 would be, but my 80-120 is both satisfying and easy to do (simply pick one of the highest 3 gears and accelerate )
Sorry, OT.
I wish when they advertised cars performance figures they would give something more useful like 60-100 in 4th, or something to that effect.
