Agreed. I couldn't see the value of especially as I didn't want the wheels. The Turinis cost $2400 as they are ordered by the dealer as a spare part not a factory option.

Alaris rims were around 700 each as a spare part from the dealer.

I don't see the point if your going to spend that much you can get a good set of aftermarket rims for that much. (VMR V710 in black are around 1500 a set to suit Octavia)

I hope the dealer gives you credit for the rims they take off.

Soon to be on this list aswell. Heard my Octavia RS is on the way now after ordering in January.

Ordered 162TSI with DSG. Candy White wagon with 18" Black Pack, Panoramic Sunroof, Tech Pack & Automatic Boot. (Essentially the "hero car" you see pictured on the Skoda website). Ordered in January, advised 11th May that it had been built. Advised 27th May that it is now on board the boat. ETA for delivery still not quite known.

Saw a white gen3 vRS wagon with roof racks and yellow number plate twice, once on pacific highway around Lindfiled(Sydney NSW), 2nd time somewhere between St ives and hornsby, driven by a blonde female with curly hair, I think it was the same car.

Saw a silver gen3 vRS wagon on Forest Way, came to realised our wagons look so pretty at night(was around 5:15, but it was pretty dark).

Btw I am driving a 162 TSI White Wagon with DSG and 18 inch Black Pack.

I thought the $1600 we were being asked to pay for the 18inch Black Turinis was expensive. But having collected the car on Saturday I am not sorry we went with them rather than an after market wheel. They are very nice and complement our RS Black Magic Pearl Wagon well.

We now have four spare Pictoris rims and while I was going to keep one as a full size spare; upon further reflection it seems better to off load the four as a set and buy a separate wheel and tyre as a spare.

Thommo could you maybe PM and let me know what price you were able to offload your Pictoris for. Thanks

Might be interested. Can you post a picture of your Pictoris rims? What size are they?

Finally picked min up yesterday (same spec as nickd).
the more I drive it the more I love it.

                      so much technology to understand.
I have read so many comments about the diesel having some hesitation from standing star, which I initially experienced but as I drive it more it has gotten less, this may be due to the car loosening up, learning my driving style or me learning how the system reacts.
I don't notice a lot of road noise, but mine came with Bridgestone potenza s001's fitted instead of continentals. Love the way it sits on the road, so comfortable, glad I went for the comfort pack.

I have fitted a cargo barrier from travall.

I'd been meaning to ask if you'd got yours yet Agree about the tech... Had to RTFM several times already.

Yep... It's the genuine one. $104 fitted but I got it done as part of delivery (although not sure that would make any difference to the price). The aluminum one was the same price from memory.

Hey all, newbie 2010 RS owner here. I bought member graybags' ride.
I've come from a 2002 mitsubishi magna VR-X to this and WOW what a difference. The day after I picked the car up I had to travel from Pascoe Vale up to Wodonga, back to Pascoe Vale, then onto Kinglake. After all that I had no aches, or pains as I would in the magna. It was a pleasure to drive, and the brakes!! it made the magna feel like it had brakes from the 50's. I left Kinglake and made it to Mill Park and still had 85kms before empty. I couldn't believe the economy of this beast. More power than the magna too.
Here are some pics but you've all probably seen it, the only thing I plan on doing is upgrading the head unit from an rcd unit to an rns one with GPS and bluetooth.
                                Some pics of my magna:
