Additional 2 year extended warranty to all recently purchased vehicles.

Spoke to my dealer last week and he told me that Skoda dealerships got a bulletin from Skoda providing additional 2 year warranty to any recent purchased MY12 vehicles.

Called him again today and he informed me I will automatically get the additional 2 year on top of my already extended Warranty.

I have not received any official letter or confirmation and calling Skoda they could not confirm or deny this. and would have expected to read something online already regarding this extended warranty.

Can anyone else confirm or deny this Bulletin?

So how many years would you get? 5 years? So if you bought extended warranty like I did through Allianz insurance you would get 7years. If that's the case 7years =peace of mind in my books

That will definitely be nice but will only believe it when I get it in writing.

          REALLY...seriously???

If this is true, then my August delivered MY12 would be covered for the extra 2 years as well?
Is it KM's limited, or just time?

I bet they still say it is 5 yr / 100,000km...which stinks as I will have 100,000 kms by three years.

I think its a promotion. mine has a 5 year unlimited km warranty also.

bought feb last year. I think they put it on the previous year's models to get them out of the showroom.

also, although I was informed of this when I bought the car, I got a letter maybe 1-2 months after purchase to confirm the additional 2 years factory warranty

              thanks.
I have emailed Skoda head office to ask officially also.
Will post the reply when (if) I get one

with their response times from other people, the letter might arrive first

Just spoke to Skoda Australia, the extended warranty only applies to vehicles that have a 2011 BUILD date so although you may have purchased in 2012 if your build date is not 2011 no extended warranty.

That's strange as my car is 2011 MY12 and dealership told me I will get the additional 2 years. Saying this nothing was provided and due to past experience they have not been very trust worthy ... Hopefully they can restore this trust to some level.

                          ... So mine counts?
                          July 2011 build, Dec 2011 bought, MY12...

I got it just before the 5yr warranty came out. Like, literally about two weeks before!!

When we bought ours the promotion was just starting in March for 5 year warranty but this was aimed at MY11 demonstrator cars which had been regoed so already had some warranty used up - so to bring it up to equivalent new car warranty.

Good news is that it is extended to all 2011 build cars as ours is from Nov 2011 build but never regoed so we get a full five year - will confirm this when my letter arrives from Skoda in about 4 to 6 weeks

Being as we bought from the same dealer at about the same time your guess is as good as mine. Interesting thing was I asked about this warranty promotion when I bought and nobody had any idea about it - like most things I guess.
