  • Alternatives Rims for VRS

    Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before, did a search and got a million posts to sort through.

What i wanted to know is if there are any Audi or Golf rims that are a straight bolt on the 012 Octavia VRS.
    No fussing with spacers etc.

    Anyone know?

    cheers

    sean

I have some for sale in 17"

I have spacers for sale but they are not needed - the picture on my octavia with them is without any spacers.

just about all vw/audi/skoda/bently/lambo/porshe product use 5x112. wat youve got to watch for is the offset. and thats also affected by the rims width. I tried some 19x8.5 et32 a5 rims that my dad has in the shed and they were about 10mm outside the guards. they can be made fit with excessive camber but thats not my bag . there's a website somewhre that lists just about all cars, their pcd offset, size etc, but cant find it right now.

et42 is about max on the front. you can fit up to an inch wider rim or 10mm more positive offset (et32) on the rear

here's some info on a lot of stock audi/vw wheels if you're into the OEM look. VW Audi stock OEM wheel picture gallery and database
just stick to 5x112 bolt pattern.

as said above, you need to watch out for the offset. usually what fits on a golf will have no problem fitting on your octavia. you can use a calculator such as Online Wheel & Tyre Fitment calculator. Offset, Tyre stretch and Rolling Radius calculator
from memory the stock VRS rims are 18x7.5 et51 (vrs owners pls correct me if i'm wrong).

Pretty sure 5x112 18x7.5 ET45. Though may be a little off... But that sounds right.

                Just about all of them
                You need 5 studs x 112 PCD
centrebore is 57.1mm or with suitable hub rings (this is normal for any aftermarket stuff
ET will depend on the width you want but 7.5" width anything between ET58-ET40 is fine, 8" ET52-ET45

Stock VRS rims are ET51 for sure

When we go wider with 8" rims most of us choose ET45

Pre-FL vrs were 18x8 (ET45?), then VW downspecced them to 18x7.5ET51

So many to choose from. Thanks guys.
I really like the look of the VRS-P

I think I'm going to go for that.
I like the stock 18 inch rims i have and i got some quotes to re spray them.
Its just trying to convince myself to part with the cash do it!

Bout 100 bucks for plastidip cans if your a confident diy'er. Or 400 for a one colour powder coat or 550 for two colours (colour then clear). I got mine done at craved coatings in penrith. I'm running klutch sl14 18x8.5 42et

They are very very very expensive and are 19"

If you get replica's they are cheaper/reasonable
but if you get 18" they don't have the pressence or impact of the 19" version

These are my latest wheels, Enki's, painted to match the colour of my car

I should have said replicas Martin, I'd be looking at the factory offset in 18x8 for some rs6 replicas or maybe some VMR 708 in 18x8.5, not sure if yours are VMR's or replicas but they look great on your car, I think they look better than your enkeis, sorry mate!
